How Uncurio makes money

Uncurio is free to read. To keep it that way, we earn money in two ways, and we want you to know exactly how.

Affiliate commissions

Many links on Uncurio go to retailers who pay us a small commission if you buy something after clicking. You pay the same price either way. Commissions never decide what we cover — our editors pick products first, and a link is added after.

Sponsored placements

Brands can pay to place products on Uncurio. Every paid placement is labeled: "Featured" for sponsored cards, and "Partner / Brand Name" for partner placements. We never show a paid placement without its label. Display ads appear in boxes marked "Advertisement."

Click and view counts

Links to retailers pass through our own address first so we can count clicks, and we count how often sponsored cards are shown. These counts don't identify you personally.
